Each account has its own Phone PIN, which is used to identify account owners over the phone/via chat and to initially establish online banking. There is only one PIN per account number and this PIN should never be shared with anyone outside of the account holders. There are two ways a PIN is assigned:

  • When an account is opened at a branch location, the Phone PIN is chosen by the account owner(s)
  • Accounts opened online or at dealerships for auto loans have PINs randomly generated and mailed to the address on file
    • PINs mailed out for accounts opened online typically arrive within 3-5 business days
    • PINs mailed out for accounts opened through dealerships can take several weeks to arrive
