Effective Thursday, July 25th, 2024, we are enhancing our security measures by discontinuing email as an option for receiving one-time passcodes (OTP) during two-factor authentication (2FA).

Key Points:

  • This change affects all users, particularly those who currently use email for OTP.
  • We will continue to offer SMS/text, phone calls, and authenticator apps for 2FA.
  • This only applies when logging in from an unrecognized device.

Why This Change? We're implementing this update to enhance account security and provide more user-centric authentication options. This change will help us combat fraud and hostile account takeovers related to compromised email addresses, often due to password reuse.

Action RequiredIf you currently use email for OTP, please ensure you have an alternative method set up:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to "My Settings" in the top right corner
  3. Select "Login & Security"
  4. Update your 2FA preferences

No immediate action is required if you already use SMS, phone calls, or an authenticator app for 2FA.
